Have fun with this one! Remember that you can use a recipe as one of your genres in your multi-genre project and these two have made some excellent examples for you to follow.jeniffer-and-sandras-scribe
After looking over some our readings for Monday night I was thinking about how lucky we are to have access to computers and to the technology to create and communicate with others. Look at this document on the digital divide , although a bit old, it is still telling about who gets and who doesn’t.
As you all know and have probably been avoiding… we have a final project. Here is a copy of the requirements for the project. We will be discussing this document in class. 6030-multi-genre-paper
It seems that something keeps happening to make our class schedule change. I have attached the revised schedule that I hope will work until the end of the semester. Lets see how it works and we can modify it as we move on. It has already changed because we are now going to mazak’s presentation..re-re-revised-schedule-for-now
We have two different interpretations from last weeks class. Check them out. The first is from Jessica. I think I will let her explain it to you in class! You can find it by clicking the link below. The second, which you will find complete here is from Yalitza. Enjoy!!!
Scribe: A bard’s tale, the 319 chronicles
Once upon a time in very close land, existed the kingdom of UPRM, a place where its citizens were free to think and knowledge was accessible to everybody, even Camelot envied this kingdom, but our story does not set itself there, our story is set, in a small village within the UPRM kingdom, it starts in the village of Chardon 319. It was one of those sunny days, where farmers’ farm and professors profess, but for the sorcerers that came from near and far to the meeting that would occur there, it was more than that, it was the day the sorceresses and sorcerers would learn to decipher and respond to that mysterious language that had been driving them crazy since they became sorcerers, the forbidden language of the tribes, the language of “students papers”. We will try to work with this schedule for now. I expect that we may have some problems with it as there won’t be much time for discussion. re-re-revised-schedule-for-now

Quote
“You could of convinced me not to do this”
E. Pratt
This means that the next time that we may feel uncomfortable with something concerning the class; we should talk to the professor about it. Remember, Professor Pratt is open to dialogue.
Enjoying the Lasagna
While we all were enjoying the lasagna that the Professor made:
Lindsay read a poem she did as the Ethnographer for last class.
Then the class had a small discussion on what was the central idea of the readings that we have read. The paper that we emphasized a little more was Donald Murray’s paper. It was said that the important thing in teaching writing is that we shouldn’t emphasize the product, but the process of discovering.
Weather Forecast
Now we leave you with Yolanda Padilla who is interviewing the Director of the National whether Agency Robert Haithcock that as last week, is going to inform us what is happening with the weather.

Welcome back to 318 news reporting live from Chardon
Last week we had a special presentation by professor Jennifer Sanabria.
Presentation 1
Jeniffer Sanabria – Audience
Jeniffer gave a presentation about an article called “Closing my Eyes as I Apeak: Argument of Ignoring audience”. The article said that when writing, we should focus on the audience, but sometimes we can ignore the audience, especially when the audience might be perceived as “inhibiting,”. When can we ignore the audience? The article says that we can do so, when we write “privately”, this way we can reflect more on our topic, our thoughts, and even our writing. Then when we have finished writing we can revise it with our audience in mind.

Why is it that plagiarism is on the rise in schools and even in College? Sandra Soto had a word on that. She gave a successful conference about plagiarism at the University of Puerto Rico in Mayaguez.
Presentation 2
Sandra Soto – Plagiarism
Sandra talked about plagiarism. She said that teachers explain to their students that plagiarism is bad, but they don’t explain to them why it is bad. Sandra also said that teachers shouldn’t take plagiarism personal.
Health Tips
Now Sandra Soto will give us some important salad- health tips.
Dessert
Yazmin came in a little late but brought the chocolate cake.
