When we think about writing and how we learn to write, one of the groups that has been most helpful in our understanding of these issues is NCTE, the National Council of Teachers of English. You might want to consider belonging to this group.Tthey have made writing a priority and have written an important piece that gives us important information about writing. Check out their Beliefs about Writing, it is the basis for this course. We will discuss this document as part of the course.
